Public Speaking Training Courses are sometimes confused with Presentation Skills Courses. Public Speaking training is about communicating a message that may or not be popular. You are far more likely to get heckled and booed in public speaking. The occasional shoe is hurled at a public speaker. Was John Howard the last prime minister to dodge the shoe missile? You might remember the shoe that was hurled at John Howard. The shoe throwing didn’t startle him too much, and he just got on with his job.
In this workshop, we’ll look at the speaking patterns of some of the greats. Kennedy, Churchill, both Obamas, Winfrey, Mandela, Jobs, Yousafai. And we’ve got to have a look at Martin Luther King.
If you’re a government department or a large organisation, we’d recommend an in-house public speaking training course.
Unfortunately, nowadays, many public speakers rely heavily on data as the basis of their message. When this emphasis on data is combined with a reliance on PowerPoint, then you’ve missed the opportunity to be a great public speaker.
Public speaking is an essential skill for success in many professional and social settings. This course will teach you the fundamentals of successful public speaking, including how to write and deliver a speech, handle difficult questions and situations, and analyse your audience’s reactions. You will gain hands-on experience by creating, practicing, and delivering your own speeches using various types of media. You will also learn about important topics such as body language and vocal delivery. By the end of the course, you will have the confidence to communicate your ideas and engage with any group of people.
For maximum effectiveness, this program is best conducted as an in-house program.
