A Trusted Learning and Development Advisor
Unresolved workplace conflict rarely disappears on its own. More often, it grows into reduced productivity, damaged relationships, poor morale, and increased staff turnover. Our Conflict Resolution & Mediation Training provides organisations with a structured and impartial approach to resolving disputes while rebuilding trust between the parties involved. Using proven mediation techniques, including Shuttle Diplomacy where appropriate, our experienced facilitators help individuals move beyond entrenched positions and work towards practical, sustainable outcomes.
Every workplace conflict is different, which is why our facilitators take the time to understand every perspective before bringing people together. Our structured mediation process begins with confidential one-on-one meetings to establish rapport and understand each participant’s concerns before progressing to a facilitated mediation session. Where emotions are running high, Shuttle Diplomacy may be used, allowing the facilitator to move between parties until productive dialogue can begin. This approach often reduces tension and encourages more constructive conversations. The process concludes with individual debriefs and a practical agreement that helps all parties move forward with greater clarity and mutual respect.
Throughout the mediation process, participants will develop practical strategies to resolve conflict professionally while maintaining positive working relationships.
Topics include:
These learning outcomes are central to the mediation process outlined in the course methodology.
Conflict itself is not always negative. Different viewpoints often lead to innovation and better decision making. Problems arise when disagreements become personal, communication breaks down, and resentment begins to affect the wider team.
Effective conflict resolution helps organisations:
Our facilitators follow a proven methodology designed to maximise the likelihood of long-term resolution.
Each participant meets privately with the facilitator to discuss their perspective, concerns, and desired outcomes.
Participants come together in a professionally facilitated session where issues are discussed respectfully, common ground is identified, and solutions are explored. Where appropriate, Shuttle Diplomacy is used to help maintain constructive dialogue.
Each participant receives a private follow-up discussion to reflect on the mediation process and clarify next steps.
The facilitator prepares a fair, practical agreement that clearly outlines commitments and expectations for all parties moving forward.
